And now …
SEVEN LEGAL NOTES
This morning, I’m gearing up to teach class 11. My lecture topics will include a film director agreement and an introduction to music law, complete with a look at Lionsgate standard’s synch and master use licenses. I will also have a guest speaker, Director Aaron Woolfolk, who directed one of the first movies I ever worked on, The Harmiaya Bridge, starring Danny Glover.
Speaking of lectures, on July 2, I will speak to filmmakers and lawyers all over the country about my film production contract drafting system in a lecture sponsored by California Lawyers for the Arts. I will keep you posted.
Gearing up for the California or New Your Bar Exam? I got your back.
Comment about the Trump tariffs? Nope. What is going on right now is evident to everyone and their brother, and my opinion has been on the record for a long time. Furthermore, there is no shortage of political material to read on SubStack, written by people much more knowledgeable about politics than I am. So, yeah no yeah yeah no. :)
Sad note - My brother has spent a lot of time in the hospital over the last two years. Perhaps not “most” of the time, but maybe. I said a prayer for him this morning. Ugh.
Happy note - Thank you to all of my new subscribers, I appreciate you! And the number of readers of My Immortal is astonishing and leaves me smiling every day - what a great way to release a novel update! Speaking of updated tales … coming to the exclusive paid side of Scene 7 next week …. Tale of a Drum Line!!!
